This player-specification example of the last Liverpool Home shirt to feature the wordmark logo of sponsor Crown Paints was issued to Reds and England superstar Peter Beardsley.
Complete with stitched-on number 13 on the reverse and ultrarare long sleeves, the adidas design, with its bespoke jacquard, was worn in a season when Liverpool claimed the English Football League championship and came so close to a second domestic Double in three years.
The Trefoil-incorporating adidas logo and crest are both embroidered and the shirt is a hugely exciting artefact of a glorious period of the Merseyside club’s history.
