1991/92 Replica World Catalogue Pages

A scouring of Twitter has unearthed Jimmy from The Glove Bag bringing to light some glorious football kit marketing from nearly three decades ago.

The images from the Replica World catalogue feature some wonderful Umbro designs for the 1991-92 season. This pivotal moment - a year prior to the English Premier League’s kick-off - sees, amongst other things, the shift between short shorts and a return to the longer variety, with both on display in these pages (it was still a time when year-old releases carried over for a second campaign).

Loud Away and Goalkeeper designs for Scotland, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton share the stage with classy Home offerings for the likes of Lazio and Ajax. And whilst the excessively branded Spurs - SPURS - Third kit from that season is missing in action, there’s a shot of the Amsterdam club’s green and yellow Away shirt’s similarly-styled back.

As a bonus, Jimmy’s also included the Admiral spread, with Rangers, Hearts and Southampton kits assisting in taking us back to a lost era.

Thanks to Jimmy from The Glove Bag - tgbjimmy on Twitter - for bringing this to our attention.

Wow. Those were the days. The very moment I got my new copy of Shoot! Magazine I'd thumb through the pages searching for this.
I'd even visit the sports shops in my Town to see the shirts up close and personal.
Every single one of these are proper Football kits.  These are what set me on my way to a massive love of Football shirts and start collecting them.
Sadly, I've had to sell the majority of my shirts in recent years but this has put a smile on my face.

Absolutely love that Wimbledon home kit. Fairly simple design but very classy and stylish.

Totally love this. I had the Everton away. Loved the Spurs kits also. Used to love it when the new kits were out. Shoot magazine.

Fantastic nostalgia! Was 13 years old and seeing all those kits takes me right back to my youth.
