This intriguing Brazil shirt was recently put on sale by Graham Budd auctions.
Covered in autographs, the Ceppo production has the iconic yellow look with green contrast collar and cuffs, while the king-size crest is fully embroidered and there is a stitched-on number 19 on the reverse.
The shirt is believed to be from circa 1962 but, despite it seemingly having been advertised as such in the past, there is no claim that it was worn by Brazilian legend Vava in the ’62 World Cup Final(s).
Regardless, despite the ambiguity regarding its use, this is unquestionably a vintage item of some value, and it was accordingly estimated to sell for between £1800 and £2500.
This item was sold by Graham Budd Auctions, a specialist in sporting memorabilia.
