This Umbro Rangers shirt arguably boasts the definitive design for the Glasgow-based Scottish side.
The long-sleeved royal blue article is only embellished with the wonderfully embroidered white “RFC” monogram on the chest and, of course, the number 2 on the reverse that suggests it was issued to one or both of Sandy Jardine and Kai Johansen.
While details are somewhat vague, the shirt is believed to be from 1966, and the information given enabled it to sell at auction for a hammer price of £4,200, trebling the estimate.
