Manchester United has launched the new third kit for the 2016/17 season by Adidas, taking inspiration from the club’s early years as Newton Heath LYR Football Club.
The new kit pays homage to the club’s transformation from local railway workers to the globally renowned “Red Devils” which is represented through each of the new 2016/17 kits.
The white kit with black accents takes inspiration from the City of Manchester’s Coat of Arms which features a worker bee, a symbol of the city’s history as a leading-light at the forefront of the UK’s industrial heritage.
