Celtic 17/18 New Balance Third Kit

New Balance officially revealed the new Celtic FC Third kit. The shirt is part of the ‘Live the Legend’ campaign for the 2017/18 season.

Completing the green New Balance kit collection for the season, the Vivid Cactus jersey is finished with a squared neckline with engineered “U” shape.

The kit pays tribute to the incredible achievements of the Lisbon Lions 50 years ago by features a special textured 50th anniversary black crest. The two teams who competed in the 1967 final have been commemorated in the inner back neck of the jersey, where the green and white hoops of Celtic and the black and blue stripes of Inter Milan are featured.

Tested at Loughborough University’s world leading Sports Technology Institute, the kit features a unique combination of bonded vents and zonal mesh structures to provide advanced cooling and performance benefits. The kit incorporates moisture-activated laser cut vents in the under-arm regions that open in response to increased perspiration by the player.

The kit is completed by black shorts and Vivid Cactus socks with a black trim. To offer added support to the ankle, the socks have built in comfort zones and the footbed has been developed with polypropylene to alleviate excess moisture when the foot makes contact with the boot.

@FREE PALESTINE Champions of Scotland. That's an achievement. Not. What a joke. Three green kits. Exit stage left round one of the Champions League. Just to be clear, I like this club, always have, but to win, win and win again with no true opposition is just painful. There is no true test, no real comparison. It's just a mess, a successful mess on a national level but a mess.

Can't wait to see Celtic borrowing Rangers away kit for the trip to Hibernian!

Green home kit, green away kit, green third kit - anyone brave enough to guess the colour of the GK kit!?

@Curly Wurly Mate, the other clubs don't invest because we can't. Outwith the Old Firm there's virtually no money in Scottish football. They have huge revenues from international fan bases and massive home support, the rest of us have 7000 home gates if we're lucky, all while bus loads of Old Firm fans drive past to go west. Before money killed fitba, Scottish football was a lot more competitive. But don't stress, the other European leagues are going the same way until there's a proper Champions League, then all the other 'non-elite' teams will be playing domestic leagues with only the diehards left watching. TBH - that's probably gona be better for the real fans and the prawn sandwiches can pay mega bucks to watch Man U, Cheslea, Real, Barca etc.

@Paddy Doc. That's what saddens me Paddy, is that there is no competition for you. Back in the 70's despite the obvious Rangers rivalry there were also Aberdeen or Hearts and others on occasion that made a fist of it. Now it's all one way - and I do enjoy the SPL but cannot understand why other clubs do not try and invest more. Sorry for the original cynicism, I just wish it was a more competitive division - for everyone's sake.

@Curly Wurly. What's your solution to the problem?

    Play in the English league?

We can only play what's in front of us,not our fault that the EPL teams cherry pick all our best players from the league, and remember (if you're old enough) before the EPL Scotland were pretty much on par with England.

And finally, we played Man City twice last season & drew both times, if that's poor standards, then Celtic are a poor team.

    So.........
Home kit - GREEN and white hoops
Away kit - GREEN and slightly darker green hoops
    Third kit - light GREEN

Yes, well done Celtic...... looks like you'll be playing in your skins at Hibs this season.

With reference to PTW the marketeers will love this , a third green kit and no doubt neither will be allowed against Hibs no doubt a fourth kit on the way and more fleecing of the fans

@PTW The third kit will be fine with black shorts & socks, there'll be plenty of visual difference between the two kits on the field.

Or just wear the home kit & Hibs wear green shorts, like we used to do in years gone by.

I think these photos just do a terrible job of presenting the kit, I think it's probably actually a quite nice kit.

The first kit is white. The second kit is green. The third kit is optic green and black which differentiates from Hibs enough. However, I wish that the 3rd kit was the "bumble bee". This third kit will only be worn once or twice anyway.
The first and second kit do look awesome.

the sleeves on that goalie kit are a bit funny (no cuffs so like a L/S T Shirt rather than a football jersey).

Presumably they will be getting 11 goalie tops ready to wear if they actually play another team in green? They could still end up playing Ludogorets, Panathanikos or Sporting in the Europa League?
