Celta Vigo 2025 Hummel "Olive Tree of 100 Years" Shirt

Celta de Vigo 2025 Hummel "Olive Tree of 100 Years" Shirt

RC Celta de Vigo have revealed a special edition shirt to commemorate the Reconquista of Vigo. The design is inspired by the club’s centenary anthem, Oliveira dos Cen Anos (Olive Tree of 100 Years), drawing on local symbols and heritage to honour the spirit of the city and its people.

The shirt features a black base with white accents and logos in monochrome. On the chest is a stylised crest created for the club’s centenary anthem. It features an olive tree with silver roots and the San Sebastián Castle, both important symbols connected to Vigo and RC Celta’s identity. On the back, the Vigo flag sits just below the collar, while a verse from the anthem “Na ledicia son celeste, celtista no padecer” is hidden inside the collar lining.

Additional touches include hummel’s chevrons on the shoulders, velvet-effect finishes, and bespoke number typography derived from the anthem’s artistic style. The shirt was co-created with Hummel and design studio Late Checkout, who also worked on the anthem’s music video.

Limited to 1,809 units, the shirt references the year of Vigo’s 1809 uprising against Napoleonic forces. It comes in custom packaging and includes a goalkeeper version in the same design. The team will debut the kit in their upcoming league fixture against UD Las Palmas.
