Everton 2023-24 Hummel Home Kit

Everton 2023-24 Hummel Home Kit

Everton have unveiled their home kit for the 2023/24 season, which celebrates the iconic elements of Goodison Park and pays tribute to hummel's historic designs.

In a nostalgic move, the Everton home shirt features a collar, a feature not seen in a decade. The collar design is inspired by Goodison Park's famous Archibald Leitch pattern and is also replicated on the shirt's sleeves, showcasing the rich history of the stadium since 1909.

The collar is also a tribute to hummel's classic Denmark national team home shirt from their victorious 1992 European Championship campaign. This homage is part of hummel's centenary celebrations, bringing together a range of design inspirations.

Looks a really smart shirt not normally a fan of parts of the stadium however having the stand design on the collar and not in a darker shade on the shirt itself adds to this for me if not for the sponsor it would’ve been top marks

Not a fan of such collars but good effort as usual from Hummel. Hummel are great, look at the diversity in their designs. Some misses, inevitably, but some classics too. I think they are making more effort to give 'bespoke' club-relevant designs to their 'flagship' clubs like Southampton, Brondby etc

As a professional shirt tailor, I believe frilly ruffles would really make this shirt "pop" around the arms and neck areas. Thus, remove the fold down collar and nonsensical lattice work (nothing to do with Everton) and replace with ruffles. A sportsman's clothing affects them psychologically: frilly ruffles would indicate superiority, daring, and pizzazz, easing the Toffees return to top flight football as inferior teams would stand in awe of this glorious fallen giant amongst their ranks temporarily. Imagine! Gary Naysmith flowing down the wing in my jazzy shirt, who could stop him? Hummel you can have this idea for free (this time) (p.s. if you can read this, DM me I am available for hire) (22 years experience as shirt tailor and classical flautist lookig to bring avant-garde techniques to your boring industry).

I'm desperate to give this effort full marks but one thing stops me in my tracks. The blue is gorgeous and generates an overture of nostalgic times of summers spent in English fields, full of hope and promise. White details suggest clouds that cleanse and nourish. However the 'prison bar' design, on the sleeves and collar point to a much more sombre and dare I say it, macabre undertone. Do Everton Football Club want to portray themselves as oppressors? Do they want capital punishment to return? Are they indicating that all objectors will be imprisoned? Shame on you Everton and shame on you Hummel. They should know better with their Viking ancestory and what they did, ****** and piliging ancient Europe. I will not be purchasing it for those reasons.

The "prison bar" is a homage to the lattice-style steel trusses, which are an iconic part of Goodison Park.

Not a fan of these type of collars, but the added elements from the stadium stand design is smart. Basically, a solid kit.

Liking the collar and sleeve patterns, think Everton royal blue should be a bit darker but solid shirt.
