Seattle Sounders FC has unveiled their new away kit for the 2023-2024 Major League Soccer seasons.
The kit, named The Bruce Lee Kit, pays homage to the legendary martial arts icon Bruce Lee, who spent his formative years in Seattle and was buried there following his untimely passing at the age of 32.
Created in collaboration with the Bruce Lee Family Company and Shannon Lee, the kit features shades of red and black with sunbeam yellow accents, as well as several special details chosen to highlight Lee's legacy and philosophies.

As part of MLS and adidas’ “Community Kit” line, the Bruce Lee Kit is the second unique tribute by Sounders FC, following their inaugural Community Kit, The Jimi Hendrix Kit. The kit represents a departure from traditional designs, continuing the trend set by The Jimi Hendrix Kit, with a vibrant and engaging look.
The Bruce Lee Kit marks the first time that the Sounders have incorporated the colour red into their uniform, which is made even more striking with the addition of sunbeam yellow accents. The jersey chest features a hand-drawn dragon, symbolising Bruce Lee's strength, power, and forward-thinking spirit, as well as that of Sounders FC.
The jock tag on each jersey front features a reproduction of Bruce Lee's official signature, including his name and a stylised loong mark, which has special significance in Chinese culture. The back of the jersey displays Bruce Lee's Core Symbol, which he created to represent his art of Jeet Kune Do and his personal philosophy. The symbol features two opposing directional arrows around the Yin Yang symbol, with Chinese letters circling the mark, reading "Using no way as way; having no limitation as limitation," reflecting Bruce Lee's approach to life and his art.
