Adidas 1987 West Germany Match Worn Home Shirt

West Germany 1987 player shirt by Adidas believed to have been match worn by Littbarski in the friendly match against Denmark played at Volkspark, Hamburg on the 23rd September 1987.

The two nations had met just the previous year at the 1986 World Cup where the Danish Dynamite pulled off a shock 2-0 win.

Germany went on to reach the Final but Denmark were one of the stories of the tournament and had a team that feared nobody. Franz Beckenbauer's men exerted some revenge here on home soil though with a 1-0 win secured thanks to a 33rd minute strike from star forward Rudi Völler. The FC Köln star Littbarski played the full match and was at the peak of his powers. The winger had played at 5 major tournaments went on to win the 1990 World Cup before hanging up his DFB boots after 73 caps and 18 goals.
