Adidas 1988 Benfica Match Issue European Cup Final Home Shirt

Benfica 1988 player shirt by Adidas believed to have been issued to Samuel for the 1988 European Cup Final against PSV Eindhoven played at Neckarstadion, Stuttgart on the 25th May 1988.

Samuel was an unused substitute as Benfica played out a tense and cagey 0-0 draw against the Dutch champions. The two teams could not be separated after even 120 minutes and the game went to the dreaded penalty shoot-out.
