This was the first meeting of the two sides since 1979 and it was an eagerly anticipated clash with no clear favourite with Northern Ireland having qualifying for the last World Cup and the Republic for Euro 88. And there was little to choose between the teams on the night with the game ending in a 0-0 stalemate. Dennison was an unused substitute on the night having only made his debut earlier in the year against France. The winger went on to spend a decade at Molineux and represent his country 18 times in total.

Correct player size cloth print professionally machine stitched, fully embroidered crest and Adidas logo, swapped with an Ireland player and come from their own personal collection - a signed letter verifying this will be provided/
