Sweden U-21 1992 player shirt by Adidas believed to have been match worn in the UEFA U-21 European Championship Quarter Final 1st leg against Holland played at Nieuw Galgenwaard, Utrecht on the 11th March 1992.
Both sides had reached this stage after winning their respective groups and this was the last edition of the tournament where the Final's was played without a host nation.
Here the format was much the same as the European Cup at club level. Sweden suffered defeat on the night but did pick up a crucial away goal that would see them through in the end. Christer Fursth equalised a Robert Roest penalty to make the score 1-1 at half-time before Gaston Taument found a winner for the Dutch. In the return in Växjö though Pascal Simpson scored late on and Sweden went through to the Semi's. Nisse Andersson's men made it all the way to the Final where they were edged away from glory by Italy. This superb Adidas design was used by the senior side also but did not see any tournament action unfortunately with the home shirt being worn throughout Euro '92
