South Korea 1983 player shirt by Kolon Sport believed to have been match worn in the President's Cup Final against PSV Eindhoven played at Seoul Stadium on the 17th June 1983.
This was the 13th edition of the tournament which was held over two weeks in June and featured 11 teams with a mixture of international and club teams.
Korea won 5 out of 5 in their group to finish ahead of USA Olympic, Nigeria, Genoa, Thailand and Indonesia and progress to the Semi Finals. At this stage Ghana were defeated thanks to a late Lee Tae-Ho strike to set up a Final against the Dutch giants. The match was a thriller with Korea twice equalising before the visitors grabbed a second half winer to seal a 3-2 victory and the trophy with Jurrie Koolhof the star man. The side wore this great design made by Kolon Sport only in 1983-84 after previously wearing Adidas and then switching to Pro Specs in '85.
