Gremio 1986 player shirt by Penalty believed to have been match worn by Renato Gaucho in the friendly match against TPS Turku played at the Kupittaan Jalkapallostadion on the 3rd August 1986.
Gremio came over to Europe in late July for a total of 10 friendly matches as they prepared for the upcoming season.
Having beaten Ilves Tampere 4-3 the previous day the side won 2-0 here in Turku in their final game in Finland before moving on to Sweden. Renato Gaucho was part of the glorious Gremio team that won the 1983 Copa Libertadores and an established Brazil international. The forward later went on to star for Flamengo and tried his hand in Europe with AS Roma but returned to Porto-Alegre on three occasions since retiring to be the club's manager.
