Portsmouth 1985-87 player shirt by Umbro believed to have been match worn by Ball between 1985-87.

Umbro took over from Le Coq Sportif as the club's kit manufacturer in '85 in a deal which lasted for two seasons and was always worn without a sponsor unlike most other teams in the country by this time.

Ball moved to Pompey in '82 and went on to spend 8 years at Fratton Park. During the time this shirt was worn the side clinched promotion to the top flight in '87 under boss Alan Ball, the last time they had played in the First Division was back in the late 1950's.
