The Dutch were in Group C together with Argentina, Honduras and Portugal. The Ajax prodigy played the full 90 minutes of each game at the tournament which was eventually won by Argentina with the Golden Shoe going to Joseba Etxeberria and the Golden Ball to Caio. Wooter represented the Holland U-18 and U-21 teams 33 times in total and rose to fame at club level as part of Louis van Gaal's great young team that won the 1995 Champions League and then reached the Final again the year after.
