Durie started the match as part of the versatile front three with Gallacher and Booth and played the full 90 minutes. Holland created the better chances but overall a draw was a fair result. Craig Brown's men would not be able to hold out against England and Gazza at Wembley though but were very unfortunate not to progress to the Quarter Finals after beating Switzerland in their final game, they missed out to Holland only on goals scored. Durie started all of the side's matches at Euro 96 and was a veteran of the Italia '90 and Euro 92 squads and later went to France '98 winning 43 caps in total scoring 7 goals. This iconic tartan design home shirt was worn by Scotland in all of the games at the tournament and goes down in history as an all-time classic.
