Hitting the lower end of its estimate, this adidas Northern Ireland shirt from the 1982 World Cup recently sold for £1500.
The team representing the Green and White Army had an eventful summer in Spain, beating the hosts before being knocked out at the second group stage.
Although the intended recipient of this shirt - the now late Bradford City striker, Bobby Campbell - had no playing time in the tournament, the classic adidas design is fully adorned with the embroidered Irish Football Association crest and tournament detailing, as well as the iconic “Trefoil” logo.
Crowning the aesthetic desirability of the item is the beautiful original number on the reverse.
